Position: Human Resources Advisor

Position Summary

Management of various human resource functions regionally and globally. Acts as ‘front-line’ human resource representative for delivery of programs and services to regional line management and employees. This includes implementation of policies and programs in the areas of employee relations, talent management, training and development, recruitment, immigration, and relocation. Works with the Director, Human Resources to ensure programs are aligned with overall business strategies and requirements.

his position also ensures an efficient and smooth-running office that projects a capable and confident image to internal and external customers alike.
 
Major Responsibilities 
Employee Relations
  • Support local management team in managing employee relations issues providing advice to managers and employees on resolution techniques that align with global policies and processes.
  • Advise management on compliance with local legislation and corporate policies/processes.

Generalist HR
  • Support driving forward Seapeak’s company core values by developing and enforcing local policies and championing global policies.
  • Promote HR initiatives that facilitate an effective collaboration and interaction within a hybrid working environment.
  • Coach managers on full life-cycle management strategies from recruitment to termination.
  • Understand key people metrics e.g. absence, attrition, hiring, conduct, capability, grievances; providing insight and solutions.
  • Provide informed and pragmatic solutions to a variety of complex HR issues taking full account of internal policies, HR best practice, legislative practice, equality and regulatory requirements.

Recruitment and Onboarding
  • Manage recruitment initiatives to ensure a seamless end-to-end recruitment process for all open roles.
  • Ensure accuracy of job descriptions and alignment with corporate standards. Gather information from employees and follow up with managers, as required.
  • Screen CVs, administer Predictive Index surveys, conduct interviews, complete pre-employment checks, and prepare and present offer to successful candidates.
  • Coach hiring managers on candidate selection best practices.
  • Manage relationships and vendor agreements with candidate sources including agencies,universities, associations, and local, regional, and national organisations.
  • Conduct new hire orientation sessions.
  • Coordinate probationary reviews and monitor for areas where improvement is necessary.

HCM
  • Ensure data integrity within the HCM through accurate and timely updates being made.
  • Ensure processes are followed by regional employees, for example global policy sign offs, absence reporting, and performance reviews being completed.

Learning & Development
  • Facilitating in-house soft skills training.
  • Work with line managers to define training plans in line with the business objectives and employee needs.
  • Support global HR and the local management team in identifying areas of competency development.

Performance Management
  • Support and coach line managers on the performance management process.

Office Management
  • Oversee local statutory compliance with labor laws and company certifications, including but not limited to Business Permits, Safety Compliance, and other relevant regulations.
  • Administer local company secretarial tasks on behalf of Seapeak
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to office leases and related premises contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions are met.
  • Maintain a vigilant eye on the condition of office premises, ensuring they are upheld to 'as new' standards and addressing any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
  • Develop and implement effective administration procedures to streamline office operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various administrative needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Stay updated on changes in labor laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance and make necessary adjustments to office practices as required.
  • Ensure office supplies are replenished when required.
  • Chair the local CSR and social committees to ensure that they meet on a regular basis with a view to stimulating the local workforce to participate in all initiatives that these committees are running.

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
  • Experience in human resources, recruitment, and office management.
  • Excellent human relations, customer service, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships and partnerships.
  • Ability to work well both independently as well as part of a team.
  • Able to manage confidential matters in a discreet manner.
